You could always on-sell the brake kit parts if you can't use them.

Off topic thought, maybe i could just 'beef up' the 1600 ones ive got with the gusset and sliding a larger diameter tube over the 2" size of the 1600? Unless there are other things that are different apart from the tube diameter?
 
 

Don't waste your time on the 1600 ones.  They will always be a compromise even if they are reinforced.
 
Just wait a bit and you'll find some 2ltr ones.  They pop up on eBay regularly.

Thanks to peoples advice and offers for which I made a decision.
Ive ended up buying from England with coilovers/reinforced/hubs/steering arms (full kit) on struts and new quick turn rack with new ends etc for $850 delivered....

I ended up chasing up on english forums for a local/wrecker who seems to refurb them etc, then was able to organise a good postage price through work. 
If they all go well id be happy to organise them for other people if your intersted ?
