I am looking for some extra input as to fitting of these,

I have bought the after market set and sat in the sun on hot black

car to soften it up but with the new ones being wound in a circle,

it is not going well.

your ideas are helpful

Haha. Yeah mate I know the feeling! I bought mine 8 years ago and still haven't fit them for this reason. I'm thinking eventually I'll attach it on one end to the roof and a brick to the other then hold a heat gun to it for a few hours. Try it and let me know...

Yeh, I fitted mine using heat gun not happy with them. I believe mission impossible around rear door on a four door. Trying to get them straight beforehand would make them easier.

A large hot bucket of water sounds like a good suggestion,

it is a 4 door I've got too,

I will try that on the weekend

thank you keep the suggestions coming

They are the moulds that fit over the roof gutters.

Well everyone,
what a useless waste of brain teasing time,

I put them in a hot bath and yes they did soften up to supple state,

however they also became wider at the clip on opening and then I had

to squeeze the opening to narrow it to clip on,

but it is impossible to not kink it at the bends,

I also used a hair dryer to heat up as well,

at least

I have kept the economy going for the company that manufactures the

poor quality replacement parts,

as I bought a chrome set and a black set,

honestly frustrating and disapointing,

and it doesn't matter which way you try,

they just do not fit,

I know where I would like to put them,

this has been the lastest up date,
