Has anyone got spare the 4 rubber bonnet stops that go into the holes on the inner guards on a MK1 Escort?  I have heaps of MK2 rubbers but they are different. Mk1 has a round hole to locate them where as MK2 is rectangular.

Gdub, with a bit of trimming of the mk2 bump stops they well work in mk1 . I do this swap to all my rebuilds as mk1 go brittle and solid! What you do is shave a few mm off the base and the locater is cut back roughly till it fits in the mk1 round hole. Hope this helps

There is a guy in NZ that has them new reproduction, he also has the one at the rear of the bonnet and the push in clip that comes with it!
