Ths is on a Mk3 3.0 but a nice way to do it..
Im putting air cond into my 3.0 - Im remoting the oil filter and mounting the compressor in that space. Im using a vintage air under dash unit ( un seen) - see pic) and the controls as per pic. I dont run a mechanical water pump, fuel pump, fan etc - all electric - so only have the compressor and alternator on the engine - I ditched the power steering off the motor in favor of an electric unit - so have 2 x pulleys free on the harmonic balancer ...
Ive upgraded the radiator to an aluminium 5 core to cope

The MK2 delivered in the USA had A/C as an option.  I have seen one, the control knobs are in the console, the air uses the heater ducting.  If you get a Haynes MK2 maual it shows the system.  I enquired with Team Blitz about getting all the parts and he said he had them, price was about $2000.
