Im currently doing my rear firewall in my mk1 escort and was hoping to get photos of a car that has already been passed by CAMS.

Don't forget to use a can of foam filler, to plug up the inside of the rear 1/4's.

This was one of the issues is selleys space invader or similar going to cut it on the fire rating side of things.

Also MK1oz would be good to see some pics.

Will take some pics later today for you Luke. I used metal plates on the sides of the boot spring hangers to fill in the 1/4 panel gaps.

Get back to you soon.......

Here you go Luke.

I ripped out the original seat back panel. I then cut back the parcel shelf and fabricated some side supports on the turrets. The end result is a nice rectangular hole that I can rivet a bend alloy panel into. There is a shot of the rear quarter panel infills (unpainted). Hope this helps......

heres another one, all sealed up & log booked

seal the rear quarter panels on the interior, the use of foam filler is not widely promoted anymore as it is highly flamable & I wont be putting it back in in future cars

Another Mk2 here. Mine was very tightly fitted, but at the Bay Stages many years ago a scrutineer could see a little light coming through the sides so I had to go around it with umm......white sticky stuff. I have a complete mental block and can't think of the name of it! [x2x]
