It is easier if your have the heater box and dash assembly out

Wiper mech assembly has to be connected to the wiper motor first.

Wiper mech posts (the part the blades attach to) past thru holes below windscreen and from memory the wiper motor has 2 x bolts (might be larger type speed nuts on mounts in body) that secure it behind the crash pad / dash assembly. Then fit the wiper mech posts nuts (make sure to fit the flat rubber washer type seals under the nuts or it will leak water into the cabin, a bit of sealer also helps).

Hope that makes sense and it is a little tricky to do and heaps easier if you can get a somebody else to hold it in position while you tighten the wiper motor mounting bolts.

Just make sure you test it before you put the wipers on & everything else back together as it is possible to put the mechanism back to front or upside down as I once found out. Just ensure they self cancel in the right place. One of the jobs I love on restoring Capris!

What was the final sequence of the external fit up, was it,  a nut-steel washer- spacer-rubber seal- onto body???
or was there a rubber under the steel washer on the outside? did you use sealant anywhere?, did they leak.

BEE VEE
My "Dash Control Centre" is still in progress and dont intend to touch the wipers beneath Dash other than Lubrication, as theyre working fine and are not likely to ever see rain !
Tossing up whether to leave radio out all together, or have an old non goer just sitting in the hole , or fit this beautiful ALLOY CASE "Ferris" Australia full of AWA Australia brand internals that I picked up at agarage sale for $10 as non-goer!  ........  Power was lighting up face, but no other signs of life!  .... Carefully opened her up, hoping it wouldnt be something like a Capacitor or Transistor which I know very little of.  BINGO !
Turns out the "Clutch Plate" in the Push-button Pre-Select Device and Tuner Mechanism was 100% slipping, so couldnt move to a "station"
After experimenting with various materials with no luck, I made 2 circles out of emery paper and glued them back to back and installed.  Works like new !  So satisfying to save a piece of Aussie History esp when you dont know much about Radios!
Sorry for change of subject going from my WIPERS to Radio
