Somebody pleeeaaassee buy this car before it goes to someone who will ship it offshore. I tried my best to add it to my family but Couldn't get it past the boss

Is that a rare paint scheme on the GT ?
I remember seeing them about when I was a kid.. Was it to commemorate the Roger Clarke Esso Blue mk1 rally car in some way as the stripes are kind of same. I have a spare bootlid in Ermine White and the stripe is orange (painted on) , I'm just curious ,that's all !!
Also glad it's not left the shores to uk/Ireland to become a race car
