TT331The 26661 cam responds well to turbo charging due to its wide lsa of 112.

Interesting you say that. When I was looking into forced induction I found a bit of info from the Swedes at Skogen racing. The crow 26661 specs match up perfectly to the cam they recommend for turbo application

The 26661 crow i used in a pinto years ago that had a s4 13b turbo bolted to it.
The results were amazing. Blow thru carb no intercooler 12psi 140kw @ wheels measured at only 5500. Operator didn't take it all the way to 7000.
Then it was intercooled and ran 18psi it went 178kw @ wheels. Only mods to engine other than cam was a mild port job.it got years of abuse and is still going with the new owner.
I will use this cam again on this mk1 build .have just ordered it as i am getting float with the stocker at the moment.

a few interior shots it uses the factory 6 dial dash new door cards from aldrige trim in uk and omp bucket seats as the factory front seats needed major work to restore. Suprisingly the back seat is still the factory 1970 trim and material just replaced a small section of it across the top where it was cracked and sun damaged.

Hey TT331,

I can't recall if you mentioned it earlier, but what pistons did you use? Cast or forged?

Chuff,

Pistons used in the 178kw build
Were acl duralite pistons. Still cast but they have a higher silicone content some may call these hypereutetic

The efi intake i used is a 4 barrel spearco .
Have welded 4 speedflow injector bosses in each runner. Managed to track down a NOS vortech intake elbow.
Welded a throttle body flange mount to that . And will be running a foward facing elbow with a universal 70mm throttle body and a nissan t.p.s

Ignition i am using is a 4age toyota distributor with a cas and a single tooth home position sensor for sequential injection.

Running single coil and a 4age igniter

There is a fair few mods to do to the pinto distributor to get it all to work.

Will post some pics to follow.

Efi ntake manifold in the build

Ended up using a universal fuel rail extrusion and drilled 4 holes to suit tge injectors and tapped each end off it with a 3/8 npt tap for some speed flow fittings to screw into .

Less than $50 for the fuel rail
