Hi, How is the points plate held, when I was checking the points and pushed down on the points plate it moved down opening the points gap. If it does this while running it could be the rough running I am looking for.

Its secures to a small post on one side and a screw on the other, you shouldnt be able move the points plate up and down

Looks like something is missing or broken. Everything on this van has been butchered in the past. Must have been owned by a bush mechanic.

What engine is it and where are you? you can get a reco unit easy enough but you could probably get one on here, theres a great group of people on here. I`s seen something as rare as rocking-horse sh!t be offered up if it was needed. We old ford fans hate throwing anything out lol

Hi,  Its a 691M and I live near Forster NSW. I will be fitting a 711M at a later date but just trying to get this running better for the moment.
