The rubber gearbox mount for the regular Type E 4 speed in my Mk2 Escort has gone a bit off  (gooey soft on one side), so I'm looking to replace it.  Burton's have something that looks similar, part no GBRK400, but they confirm it was never fitted to Mk2's over in the UK, although it was to the Mk 1 Escort, Mk 1, 2, 3 Capri's, Granadas etc.  They haven't ruled it out fitting an Aussie built Mk2, but they simply don't know.  Has anyone bought and successfully fitted one?  Any local source of one guaranteed to fit?

If it fits mk3 to mk5.Cortina it'll fit escort mk2 as the gearbox wedge is the same. At worst you will need to drill the mounting holes slightly. When I worked at QuickcoRS we supplied falcon xd/f gearbox rubber mount as it was the only part that came close .
