King KFFL13 will usually give you a height around 295-300mm from the centre of the hub to the bottom of the arch.

Thanks i just had a new set of springs(FFL13SL superlow lovells) fitted, i had pedders lowered springs which i was told they would be the same as the lowered FFL13, so went for the superlow hoping for 20mm more but came out the same as before??
the shop said i should get a min of 10mm when i booked inn.
my EBH now is 295 and 285..
any ideas people?
I thought if i could find out the the standard height for the car then work backwards from there.(lovells said about -50mm from standard)
Anyone know the standard height?

My so-called lowered Lovell's springs put the ride height exactly where it was with the original springs.  I really don't see why making a truly lower spring should be so hard.

Probably because your original springs have sagged over time. Just out of interest what is your eyebrow height with lowered lovells??

Cheers

Only if the original springs sagged in the first 5 years, 'cause that's when I replaced them.  I'm not even sure what "eyebrow height" refers to actually.  Mine's a conventional flat front too.  Actually, I've still got the originals packed away, so when I get around to pulling the struts apart I'll measure them both to see how much the free length varies.

OK, with Lovells FFL-13s fitted to my 2L engined Mk2 my eyebrow height comes in at a towering 330mm!  The current Lovells catalogue lists these as "Sport Low", and at time of fitting I saw the car with so-called standard height springs, which actually raised the front end.  I don't know what the free length of the FFL-13 is, but I dug out the original springs and theirs is 310mm.

Actually its not all bad in my case, as where I garage the car has a wicked slope that I can barely get over the crest of without bottoming out, so the extra height is actually beneficial.  Just don't laugh too hard when you see the completed car, as it sure ain't no lowrider!  One less thing for the fuzz to latch onto if they take a dislike to me too I guess.

Are you guys running aftermarket strut tops? Those tend to increase ride height by about 20-25 mm.
