gday guys, i bought a 1600 xflow, with 40thou bore, flat top pistons, all the goodies, it uses a late model head with chambers machined into it. I got the newest issue of classic fords, and they have a right up about these motors, and gives you a chart of inlet and exhuast port sizes, and what power they will make, mine was the same as there full race one, with inlet at 41.5mm, and exhaust at 34.9, ill be using a single 45 sidedraught, does anyone have a rough idea what kind of power it could make? i know i havnt given massive amount a facts, but i was just after a rough idea. thanks

Random guess.. 120-130hp? With twin 40's.. if the cam is large enough.
This may give you a better idea..

Probably around the 115-120 mark then I'm guessing maybe a touch more. I wouldn't be too concerned with total power for the street, as long as it has nice torque figures etc it should be a nice little motor!
What gearbox and diff are you using? If you can get a sierra 5 speed and then have a nice short diff like a 3.9 it will go great.
