Hey all
 
ive been toying with the idea of running 15" wheels on  my mk2 as i can get 15" rally tyres very very cheap and im looking at wheels available that i could use.
 
Im after a rim that:
- is readily available should i break one
- has an ok offset (not running arches at the moment but may move to them)
-  prefer 4 stud, as im planning to have the hubs re-drilled if i can find a suitable wheel.
 
I have been looking at s13 silvia wheels lately, but the offset of 15x6JJ +40 i thought might bring the wheel to far in? has anyone got any ideas on rims? At worst ill just stick with the trusty 13" wheels but just having a look around at the moment

try a Euro wreckers for some 15" alloys off a SAAB. Stay under ET33 and you should be right

6JJ ET40 will give you a backspace of 5.1" (129 mm), which is a bit over an inch more than the standard Ford Aust. supplied wheels (which are about 4"), so I'd say you need something with a bit less offset.

May help you track down what you are after.
 
I have a set of Ronals off a SAAB with an offset of 40.  The rears are fine but the fronts hit the body on full lock and there is a about 5mm of clearance from the strut.

Are you planning to arch it Matty? There won't be much room to move in there with 15 inch wheels and tyres.

Will a 16 X 7J x E.T +25-30 fit my Mark 2 Escort standard wheel well?

Pug 307 steel wheels work. I ran them of over 3 years without any issues.
I am sure that there would be an alloy option.
