I can't really afford to be super competitive so whether I am beaten by the under 2ltr cars or over 2ltr it doesn;t really matter.

I take your point though.

Just out of curiosity what happens if a complaint is made about a car that is over capacity?

Cheers

If you invest the money converting it to a stroker into making more power instead there is no reason you won't be competitive.

Depends on how serious the complaint gets regarding capacity, but it can be a fine and a ban for "x" amount of time.  Usually a slap on the wrist and fellow competitors pissed at you though.

You'd be amazed at what you can be competitive with - most of the time it just comes down to who else turns up on the day!

Thread revival time!

Just saw these on eBay UK:

I'd be interested in what the more Pinto-savvy people have to say about these, as I am considering having my street engine rebuilt with stronger rods, and love the thought of more torque!

I had a pinto capacity upto 2186cc by offset grinding the std crank 0.060th With brgs to suit and used 93mm V6 2.8i pistons. It worked out that the pistons sit 1.5mm low but the offset brought them back up! I did still deck the block to have the pistons level at the top . It created a slight extra 7 bhp and 11 ft/lb torque over non stroked and bored block using same head etc .
