No, the pedal with the original 3/4 master would be much heavier with poor braking effort without booster vacuum. Also take into cosideration the push rod ratio between pedal and booster which also increases the pedal effort required.

before i put the datsun m/c on i tried the escort one on the firewall .. and you really have to pull the stockings up lol, it's amazing how much difference changing the m/c size really does . and the datsun 11/16 must be right on the money as far as std escort brakes go, also easier flares.. piss those mushroom ones off

There is a thread on here or the RS forum. It very good and has a lot of info on the 120y setup. I cannot seem to find it at the minute.
