Will you be hand sanding the entire floor back before adding the primer? How important is it to do that step as it would appear to be a pig of a job!!!!!???

I will knock that filler sander pack with a 800 by hand - then prime, hit that with a 1200 by hand and then top coat(s)

and yes it's a pig of a job with the floors - hence part of the reason I have hardly touched the car for the past month!

Just a tip with flux core wire i was using the CIG stuff and had heaps of splatter very much like yours but Bunning ran out so i used the cheaper Weldcorp brand and it welds a lot better so much so i will find it hard to go to get gas.. little to no splatter and a way nicer looking weld....

good work mate

Where did you get your rear bubble arches from?
They look a much better fit than the pair I have.
Keep the posts coming - similar work to what I have going on

My first weekend back on the project after a 3 week break.

The front panel was a bit of a mess:

So I cut out the rot, and bashed it back into shape then welded in fresh metal:

A skim of bog should get it looking good.

I then stripped the engine bay (chemical, wire brush, grinder, and even a bit of sand blasting):

There were 23 holes requiring welding up (mainly battery tray). I also fitted the 2ltr radiator cut out:

Time for a beer...

Looking great,

I always get inspired lookin gat other progress and quality of work to get stuck into my project.

Then reality hits and I realise I would have to make it up as I go along.

All part of the fun I guess.

Kepp it up and keep the pics coming.

Cheers

Matt
