I have drawn up the dimentions of the first 2 pullies and got the machine shop to start on them. They should be done in about 2 weeks. started with the crank and water pump pullies first and one i have them made up it will make it easier to work out the offsets for the rest.

Well finaly the pullies are made up. Now have to mount the alternator and new power steering pump. Ill post some pics of the pullies when i get a chance to take some. Nothing happening at any great speed at the moment as i have just been to busy.[8~2]

Look forward to seeing it all come together. At least a lack of time let's the wallet recover a bit, heh, before being pulverised again.

The alternator and power steering pump are only sitting bout where they will be mounted for the photo and so you can see where the belt will run. This whole set up will be a lot better than the original set up running a jack shaft and having the alternator and powersteering on the tension side of the supercharger belt. I am getting a 62mm pullie also made up for the supercharger to spin it a little bit quicker than the 70mm one in the photo.
I will be using 2 standed automotive 6 rib cerpentine belts rather than only one as before, unless i can get a 12 rib that is short enough, so that should eliminate any further belt slip even with such a small supercharger pullie.

Lots and lots of dust on it now.
Never enough hours in the day, days in the week and $ in the bank.
Lots has happened since the last update.
Now have 3 kids under 6.
EL XR8 RIP, replaced with a 2009 GTP, 6 speed manual.
Retired from karting and taken up water skiing again.
Looking at trying to at least get it running again at some stage though, but I see I made that comment in 2010. :-(

Well I have started again.
The car was dragged out of the shed and washed off a month ago.
I Was going to removed the engine to manufacture the alternator and power steering mounting brackets but quickly realise once all the front was off that I could access it ok in the engine bay. I have started to fab a alternator bracket but noticed that the sump has been touching the steering rack mounts so ill have to modify the drivers side engine mount also.
Once I have the brackets tacked up, I will then proceed to remove the engine so that I can finish it all out of the car where it is easier to access.
Moving forward again. :-)
