My understanding is the van, estate car and 4 door car have the same front doors.

the mk2 van and estate has the same doors as a mk1 2 door car and mk1 van.mk1 and mk2 vans are identical from the A pillar backwards.
the mk2 van front guard is different to the mk1 guard.the dashtop in a mk2 van looks the same as the mk2 car dashtop, but its about an inch shorter than the car dash. hope this helps.
cheers

Thanks Liam for clearing that up. I was also told that the MK1&2 van dash steel panel is the same as the MK1 car in length, enabling a MK2 type dash to be fitted to a MK1 car. Do you know if that is correct?

the van dashtop will definitely fit, length wise, but i think there might be a bit of modifying required where the speedo/tacho gauges fit in. i have seen a mk1 with the mk2 dash fitted, so its definitely possible

Guys,
I have a 2 dr RS and have started to make my own rolltops to be mated with the flat panel type that are available. They will be laminated ally sheet and fibreglass. If they are successful would anyone be interested in buying sets ( only front door )to rebuild their cards? If there is sufficient interest I might be able to knock up some sets or pass a mould onto the place in Sydney I bought the flat panel boards from.

Cheers,
Len
