Where are our Australian trimmers who do the full cover like Ford

manufactured door trims for our mighty Mk2 Escort 4 door ?

I know quality is Aldridge Trimming in the UK, The Best!

Is this a too hard basket for down under ???

Every trimmer I've been in contact with can only do flat board trim

like the Mk1 Escort.

Just in line with the Federal budget, send the money overseas.

I am in the same boat.
After some new 4 door trims for the mk2 RS.
I don't think that Aldridge do a 4 door trim set.
They had the two door trim and they, as yet (or when I asked them), don't do a 4 door trim (even the ghia trim would have been the same?).
I have noticed that https://www.americanautos.com.au/secure.html offer the 4 door rs trim.
I have not spoken with them and believe the waiting time is quite long.
I will give them an email and let you know.
If you have any luck, please let me know.
Cheers Steve.

Someone a while back mentioned that Dash Original in Adelaide would do them. They don't list them on their site, but may very well do them.

Rare Spares (Repco) I think had a listing for them a few years ago. If I remember correctly it was cheaper to get them made by Aldridge and air freight them to Australia. That was for a two door though. I've had some made by Aldridge for my Anglia and they are very well made.

I dont think it is worthwhile tooling up for a few dozen cars that have been saved from recycling here in Oz Jim.

Totally forget Australia guys. No one makes them anymore. Not enough interest or their tools are now buggered. I've been looking for 7 years. Forget; Polyweld Sydney, Dash Original Adelaide; REPCO, Rare Spares.... Everyone.

Either buy NOS or from Aldridge.

It's the only option for Escorts sorry guys

I'll be in the market for some new door trims soon. I've had a bit of a look around with no luck.
Has anyone tried fibreglassing their own backing boards (with curved edge at top) and had them trimmed?

Jim, from memory Aldridge make two styles for Mk2 Escorts. I think only the RS2000 custom models had trims the same as those on Australian models. The lesser RS models only had the flat panel type (like those fitted to Mk1 Escorts). Just make sure to clarify that before you order.

Is it worth enquiring if Aldridge are interested in a "group buy" of Mk2 2dr trims? Looking at their pricing I don't think they're overly expensive considering what you're getting. From memory when I spoke to Dash Original many years ago I think they're pricing was ludicrous!

Sorry to get away from the original 4dr query...
