rip it out and get it fixed. Or fit a used one that will probably leak

Take the one from your track car to a radiator joint and they can flush and pressure test it. If it does leak it might only need to be braised.

I had one done once. Cost about $45.00 to get the rusted inlet and outlet pipes replaced.

They are a pain in the arse to remove though!!

Stick an electric heater in there. I have 1 from a TE cortina which is thicker and hotter than the poxy Escort unit, repaired and unused since...i will need to check if its still in my shed, lol

I had mine replaced back in March at Motor Radiators on Halifax street. 8231 6256.

Cost was $270.

They took appart my heater box and replaced with a new heater core as the old one was badly leaking. They did a great job.

A bit of a long shot for you.
On UK ebay they are selling new mk2 heater matrix for 50 pounds.
If you asked them I am sure they would post to here.
I am guessing it would be a further 50 pounds.
100 pounds currently converts to a few dollars more than 150 Australian.
Cheers Steve.
