Came across this capri and need some info on model# and the like
Model# 13018
engine P
trans X
paint H
year  12/70
car is red currently
car is bare shell and this is all i have to go off

Model# 13018 = 13=Capri, 0=1970, 1=2-door, 8=3000GT
engine P = 3000cc 2V
trans X = 4-speed, GT floor shift
paint H = Track Red
year  12/70 = Chassis (VIN) number should therefore be CK17KG plus the 5 digit production serial number

this car is is bare shell (rolling)
doors bonnet boot guards thats it
don't know it it would be worth anything to anybody
might just take it to sims metal
have to remove car this saturday
have restored a couple of falcons
not doing any more cars
cars located in Devon Meadows
has been out in the weather for a year or so
anybody interested in this let me know
as stated, l need to move this car on Saturday and if l don't have to bring it back to my house
that would be easiest.

where did you get your info from ford3000gt ?

The codes are described in the Ford Australia Parts and Accessories manual for the car.  Maybe other reliable places too.
 
If you post your numbers (not full VIN), we can tell you what you have !!!!
 
Essentially
Model = 13?14 is deluxe, 13?16 is XL, 13?18 is GT (incl 1969 1600cc GT too)
           where ? = last digit of year e.g. 1 for 1971, 0 for 1970
Engine  = P is V6-3000cc 2V , F is 1600cc 2V, D is 1600cc 1V
Trans =  V is 4spd floor, X is 4spd GT floor, Y is 3spd auto
Paint = a big list , colours changing over the years of prodn
Trim = B is Black, N is dark saddle, W is white, S is saddle (1971), F is dark red (1971)
(I don't have 1972 codes)
 
So.....What 'ya got ?

turns out its a 70 xl capri 1600 2v , hot orange & dark tan trim ...
now blue with black trim...
