Hi all, does anybody know the original colour the V6 block should be painted, also what colour for the rocker covers and air filter?
I think the air filter / rockers covers are silver / grey but not 100 % sure.

All engines black, except for inlet manifold alloy.
All air filters silver on oval port motors, some cars had the later dport motors in which case the filter was black.
Rocker covers all black except rs3100 which was blue.
i also have a hazy memory of my first capri v6 70 model having red engine mount irons. (Memory is not infallible)

 Was the black a gloss black or a matt black for rocker covers?

Engine mounts are red.  Block and Rocker covers are Black, Air cleaner and inlet manifold silver (manifold unpainted alloy)
