Yes it bolts directly onto Mk2 struts and fits under 15's fine.

Were my calipers Series 4? looking at pads thats all.
 
I'm still using the "bed in" pads from 5 or so years ago.

Grant, Im pretty certain S4/S5/S6 pads were all the same even though the callipers looked different.
S4/S5 callipers had the fins:

Im using S5 callipers and have in them pads suited for S5/S6. Im going to try Intima SR pads after a mate recommended them. Reasonable price ($120) and seem to be half decent.

Yep, all good here GS - plenty on the go except my car LOL!
From my observations the 2 are identicle (mounts, pads, piston sizes) except for their external appearance.

I'm looking at these brakes for my MK1. Can anyone confirm they will function properly/are compatible with the standard master cylinder. I'm unsure if it was also changed from MK1 to MK2 when the suspension, brakes and driveline were upgraded, so it could be either.

They won't be ideal with the standard M/C be it MKI or MKII.
 
You need to fit either a pedal box (preferred) or do away with the booster and fit a properly matched M/C to the firewall.

From my calculations they will be a bolt on replacement for the M16 / 247mm rotr combination found on most escorts etc.

Paul, what M/C would work best as you have the knowledge on these things more than me?

I'm using a 0.625 (5/8) on front and rear.

I'm using the standard Mk2 mc and can't say i've had any issues with them not stopping.
