Has the pinto had any headwork done? I believe upgrading to twins in either IDF or DCOE is pointless otherwise. Standard engine, a modified and rejetted 32/36 would perform just as well as your DCOE. 38DGAS weber is good for mild to warm engine. Twins for warm to hot. IDF's are good because they dont lean out when cornering, and look a bit different too :)

Side draughts make cheap easy power and a great sound, the police pits don't like them much though. The IDF,s will cost a bit more but will be far nicer to drive and yeah look nicer too...... Trying the 38dgms on my next engine setup, it'll fit under the stock aircleaner for licencing

You can't go wrong either way but sidedraghts will be much cheaper.
Finding some 44idf's will be the hard part.
Cheers,
Matt
