I didnt realise you have a different switch.  The switch just opens and closes circuits, have you got your head around how the proper switch connects the wires for each switch position and which wire is for which circuit (high, low, park)?

Well, not yet.

I got a bit side tracked but for those that havent pulled apart a capri switch yet here a is pic showing how they work.  The switch rotates on its pivot and drags the brass contact plate across.
 
So for the 2 speed wiper each pair is a circuit, ie left pair, middle pair, right pair.
