Every now and then I spot an ad for a V6 capri which states the car 'has the correct number of vent holes' as part of confirming to potential buyers that it's genuine. I think there is currently an ad for a V6 shell which also refers to this.

So I decided to check a couple of shells I have, one a 1600XL, the other a GTV6. Both from the same year, and roughly the same build month. Both have 45 slits in the cowl, so I'm not sure where this so called 'correct' number comes from.

Has anyone else heard people refer to this, and is there any truth to it?

Cheers
Jamie
