You just missed one that went very cheap on ebay last week at $200.
Options are Jaylec or Castlemaine Auto Electric. Both will cost you about $400 +

In my experience you can't beat the Burtons supplied 'EDGE' brand 1.4 kW reduction gear starter motors. Got one earlier in the year and was so impressed I bought a spare to cover my 2 other pinto powered cars. Cost $390 freighted to my door. You might try Smacka first though. He might have the same, maybe.

Cool Drive Distribution in Victoria are the UK agents for a lot of the Pinto Hi Torque Starter Motors.
The last one I got was $250 delivered and it was a ripper.
Maybe give them a call and get a quote.

Save yourself some money that can be spent somewhere else on your escort and call Cool Drive Distribution.
Talk to the head and not the tail. Cut out the middle man
If something goes wrong it is an Australian company to return it to.!!

These guys also do them... And they are Australian made...
I agree with the Ulsterman... Keep it local... Easier for warranty...

I'd like to clarify that anything I sell is backed by myself and I will refund or replace anything that is faulty. I am the one that wears the cost not my customers and most times I will also pay for the freight for the replacement as well as the faulty item being sent back.
Being a middle man does not mean I take the money and run.
