Its surprising that original v6's like this are still out there but here's another - on gum tree. both a pillars appear shot, rear wheel arches rusty etc, so its a heavy restoration project. Its pity guards are so difficult to get off and back on and end up with a spot on result. If new guards were easy to get you'd throw the old ones - it would make a resto so much easier

$6k with a stuffed engine, very expensive compared to your recent $2k find. 

yes its in the same vein as the pewter one i scored from Broome - that was meant to be rust free but, well as you can see. If i was retired and could just work on them full time - id buy it - guards off/on, a pillars out etc - this one has rear quarter issues and god knows what else. It should be about 3k worth.. the engine doesnt bother me - i just had a big crate of parts sea freighted in from NZ - $350 - v6 engines seem to come up there all the time = so u can get an engine cheap enough if u try.

yeah lots of work and sadly struggle to get $30k when done, especially if numbers dont match.  And if it stays in WA the buyer would want to be handy with body work, it's about $100/hour here these days.

No - dont generally bring engines over - only get in silly stuff that go's cheap. I dont think ill do it again in a hurry - too much crap now. I have to make time to put cars together! So you'll only have the mk 3 now?
