Please can someone help me ID my engine as I cant seem to find it anywhere on the net?!
Engine No T26967 3 and block casting 722F6015BA ..... I was told it was a RS 3.1

It’s not an RS motor with those numbers. It is a later release v6 block, but could have come from a number of sources. Looks like it’s had some work done.

I inherited this engine from a rally capri project, (of which was an RS 3.1)
Im looking to sell it, any ideas where to start looking to find out what it is? do you know what it would be worth? 
it does look like the original numbers had been ground off, is there any other way of telling what the engine is,
Ive got all the parts to the engine.

A 722F block isn't an RS3100 one, but it is probably an updated 3-litre one, possibly designed for the 'D' port heads. The last V6s built with updated 165bhp engines were 722M code and the standard V6 was a 702 block. There should be 3 sets of numbers, one the engine number e.g.. JE1234C or CK17ME34999P, another the build date e.g.. 2 9 25 and a third e.g. 30 or similar. IS there a third flat area or not? The T number could be a re-number by the Tasmanian Police as in Victoria they use that method e.g.. V123456P. Where the BBB BBB is would be the build date but this has also been machined off and replaced. You could try measuring a piston or the bore and look at the heads for the 'D' inlet ports, as opposed to the standard 'O' or oval ports. Either way you probably need to get onto the TAS road authority and try to track that T engine number. Good luck!

FoxyCapri thanks, thats really interesting what you say....... I will have a measure of the piston or bore, Im based in the UK, I wonder if the engine came over seas? I wonder if there is the same stamp system here?
