Just putting together a list of bits that I am trying to source. If anyone can help its very much appreciated.

Genuine GT badges (mine were stolen in the 90s) I have the eBay ones already.
Gear shifter boot
Handbrake boot
Rear parcel in black (pre-facelift version) who was that Gumtree seller with the fibreglass ones?

The Fiberglass shelf you can get from Les Ferguson pm me for a number. If you are after the lower door scuff plates I have them new in stainless steel.

I have a couple of GT badges off the V6. I (like you?) bought a pair off ebay when I did the resto and they are great.

I am pretty sure mine have the FORD part number stamping on the back but they are a bit ordinary (pretty sure pins are intact though).

Let me know if your interested and I can take a couple of pics for you.

Thanks for the number mate, hoping I can still get one!

Here you go. Like I said bit ordinary
I think I remember reading something about the repo's being different somehow from the OEM's?
Do you know about this?

Are you doing a concours, cause once the badges are on you can't see the Ford part number anyway.

Being different is what I am worried about. Putting this amount of cash into the restore I would like it as close to original looking as possible.
Is the metal in good/straight condition? Of course I would strip them for fresh chrome and paint.

Yes the metal is in good condition (one has a bit of bubbling under chrome on its top surface) and they are straight.

Definitely good for re-chroming if your going to take it that far.

Might want to check out online forums about the possibility of differences between the OEM and repo's

old capri v6
I bought some from ebay about 10 years ago. When I got them I could not tell the difference, they looked exactly the same and I now have the originals pinned to my shed wall (art mate). They haven't faded, and they still look great.
There is a thread somewhere on this site relating to badges, from memory one weighed in a little heavier than the other.... WOW.
