In the process of re-assembling my mk2 2 door and hitting an early interior problem. The internal door unlock latches (to open the door from the inside) are pretty average condition. Have seen some NOS replacements on ebay for stupid dollars so wondering if anyone has used other handles that fit in with the car and are more easily obtained? 
Also on the interior of the door, the door closing handle/armrest. Not keen to use the ones i have which are 3 point fixing ones. Just want the more basic version of the 2 fixing handle. Anyone else ditch the original for another version. Can add photos if my descriptions arent very helpful.

Places like Motomobil in Germany can supply these at reasonable prices. Some Rarespares ones are available, the XA/XB Falcons are the same, as are the handles to pull the door closed. If you want the 2 point armrest/ handles then the XW/ XY ones are of that style, though I don't know if the mounting screw spacings are the same . Len
