I am currently rebuilding two Mk2 gearboxes (type 2) , which I am hoping to make one good box from . Tho I have heard there are two types of gearbox , a standard one and a sport one . Would anyone be able to tell the differences of the two. And also if it is possible to convert a standard box to a sport box.

In australia all MK2 4 speeds were the same.  RS2000 had the short throw shifter which was the only difference
