Hi
Im struggling to put pics on here, i dont have lots of computer knowledge just about enough to surf the bay etc, and potter on sites like this.
Is there a way the site recommends to do these pics to the required 250kb thingy?
Ive looked on lots of resize sites and they dont do it by the 250, but by percentage?

Maybe an official tutorial would be good for those of us in my position?

microsoft has a image resizer power toys that you can downloaded for XP operating system. Install it and right click on image you wish to make smaller, click on 'resize pictures', then click on 'large' (will only be about 150kb)

If you have windows 7 it should already be part of the software.

You just need to resize images, I usually keep them under 200kb but they can be up to 500kb. Click on the little paperclip icon in the Full Reply box and upload from your computer. If it still doesnt work, are you using Internet Explorer or a different web browser?

Cheers,

Phil.

a work around is to right click on image, send to... mail recipient. A option window will pop up and ask if you wish to keep original size or make smaller. click on make smaller, email window will open with pictures already set as attachments save these attachments somewhere and that should be it.

I have increased the size limit to 2MB
I have set the forum to resize pictures to be 800 pixels wide. It also compresses them before saving them onto the server.
Let me know if 2MB isn't big enough.
I can't accomodate 99MB sorry - that's way too big

In Documents, right click your image. Open in Paint.  Resize :horizontal 30 Vertical:30
Save as.

Create a photobucket account.

Upload the resized image to photobucket. Copy the URL link from photobucket and paste into your thread.
