yep laurie the maltese are an inspiration too me. 
9.7 secs out a a valve is pretty impressive, 
i like the original engine that comes in the car, but in saying that , zetec would have too be a great conversion
 
you can get some great go fast bits for a pinto though..

The same as any other motor. You can go the expensive way and buy a twin side draft intake and run Jenvey tb's or raid a bike wrecker for a set of tb's and fabricate a intake to suit. Looks aren't everything to create power !
