Im lookin to build a motor for my mk1 escort, 1973 four door,was a 1300 auto i have converted it to 1600 manual,i have been lookin at a pinto for my build but i will not get the go im after out of one unless i turbo it, im after about 135rwkw to 150rwkw,heres where im after some advice,is turbo charging a pinto a good idea?do i have to move my brake booster? will i be able to find the parts i need? and the big one cost? i will have about 7k for the build can it be done?or am i dreaming ha ha as we all do.?

secpndly i have also thought of the idea of a nissan motor ca18det cheap reliable and can make the power im after easy, but how much work needs to be done?do you need to cut any part of the engine bay and do i need to move adjust were my steering rack sits?like above can a ca18 be converted to a mk1 escort for around my budget? with the nissan engine u can get 130rwkw from them stock good zorst n a cooler little more boost but with the pinto its going to require alot of atention to the internals to achieve the power is this wrong or right?
