Rotaries are a wonderful thing to spend buckets of cash on. If you don't have buckets of cash, that will be an issue for sure.

I reckon the SR20 would be a nice engine.. But every time I have priced up the conversion, I end up thinking.. yeah but for that sort of money I could build up a very tough pinto.

Good luck with your decision.

Sweet, N/A SR20! Turbo ones are cool, but it will be so nice to see an N/A screamer SR20 for once. Good luck with it mate.

Yeh Vanman i know, BLOWNMK12L keeps putting them ideas in my head, i know very strong pinto sounds good... but you are limited on the pinto aren't you? With the SR20 you can down the track turbo and od all sorts of stuff... Am i Right in saying that spending such money on the pinto would be a waste?

Spending money on almost any car is a waste.

Yep, We never learn. When i say i waste i mean, the pinto can only go so powerful, The SR20 N/A pretty quick, but then also i can eventually Turbo it. On the other hand the pinto can go very quick but it can only put so much power out before its at it's max. I just want a engine i can keep building to be quicker and faster and still be trustworthy.

I have started to think along the lines of what horsepower I need, as opposed to previous more is better plans.[:I] For the driving that I like to do (which is mountain roads.) I have decided that 160Hp at the wheels is all that I will require to put a big on my face.

So with that in mind, I chose a mild pinto turbo scenario. I think it will cost as much or less than a good NA SR transplant, put out a bit more power, and still have the cosworth upgrade path if I get bored with it.

Don't get me wrong, I think the SR20's are great donks.

The SR N/A sounds good, id need to get someone to do it for me due to not having the tools or space to pull the stunt off. Does anyone have any clue where to get these conversions done? and Around about figure from start to finish on money???[?]

Why don't you talk to Longboy74. He's from around your way and would know what's involved and what the pitfalls are.
