Escort Mark 1, 2 door solid original or restored etc. Would also consider Mk1 Capri V6. I am in Geelong, Vic but will travel and pay top cash for the right car. Many thanks.

Hi Mate,

I watched your video and followed the auction but I think for me a bit expensive for a 1600. Please do not be offended, that is only my opinion, it does look to be a very good shell. Good luck with the sale and thanks for your response.

Ok now worries.
I suppose you have to weigh up all the costs.
It is a nice car, and has plenty of potential without necessary hidden costs. eg buying a cheaper capri and completing bodywork, interior, etc.
If it does not sell this time (I was made an offer outside of Ebay, but the guy then didn't have the cash and needs to sell a car first). I may keep it after seeing the recent Shannon auction prices of 1600 Capris.

I don't know why people waste time with stupid offers. They often stuff up a genuine buyers negotiation space. I would also as you say need to factor in the cost of your car being in Tassie. Thanks and good, luck with it.

Yer I was stuffed around a bit, had a hand shake deal from a local person, I thought he was genuine but then said he didn't have the cash.

Regarding the costs from tassie, it's not that much I am only 5 minutes from the spirit of tas ferry terminal and a car costs about $89 to put on the boat. I am also about 10 minutes from the airport.
I sold my other car to a Melbourne guy who fly in on a Sunday morning, inspected the car and was very happy of its condition and drove the car home on the boat that night with a permit and then he took it in to inspected for registration and it passed with flying colours. So I suppose this demonstrates I do provide genuine descriptions of my car descriptions.
Cheers

This one is pretty clean, I have seen it in the flesh, although not gone over it closely.

Hi Teeg,

I have had a look at this one online of course. What did you think of it? Seems pretty good to start from. There is also one on fordmusclecarscars but the person has not replied. I guess I am trying to find something that a club member might have had enough of and sells something really nice. Thanks for the tip, please let me know if you hear of any others.

Hey Steve,

The guy lives around the corner from me and I run past his joint quite often.  If he is out the front when I go tonight, I will stop and have a closer look.  This guy also owns an immaculate mk1 twin cam, so he is passionate about them and is a member of the small 4's club (i think thats what it is called) here in SA.  When I pulled it up online I was surprised to see that he was only asking 7 for it.

Cheers
