Yes, the Tilton bar I'm using in my pedal boxes have jamb nuts that lock the bias bar into position.

Yeah dont worry ill be keeping quiet on the subject, it all came out in the wash with the old so and so when he asked me where the booster and m/c was. He said he worked for ford in the 80's and had never heard of this setup, I did try the old "it came out standard" speel but no dice.

I Think I've got a set of old homologation papers floating around for the Mk1, I'll see if it has a pedal box listed as an option, I'll email a copy if I find it. 
 

SHE PASSED with no dramas what so ever, I knew I was onto a winner when I pulled up at the workshop and the bloke walks over and says "I havent seen one of these old CORTINAS for years." So as of tomorrow after a visit to the RTA there will be another Mk1 escort on full rego hitting the road

The guy did you a favour and ignored what was a dodgey item for a blueslip. If I was you, I'd be very careful about letting people know who and where. Bacause the next thing you know, he will be up for a huge fine, and / or a loss of his testing licence. Seen it all happen before.

There is nothing dodgey or illegal on my car, it passed the brake test no worries he even mentioned how well she stopped and it scored very well on the printout
