I would take a Hilux diff anyday over an Atlas, but this looks like an early Holden - Fe or HR or the like?

As PJ should know, if he payed more attention looking under my car he would recognise it as not Torana, as what I have is Torana.

John i would not look under a NON  genuine RS 2000 to look at a holden torana banjo diff.
If you GOOGLE holden torana banjo diff and look at the photos you will see the part number on the front of the diff
as the same as the photos Wiggy333 has posted.
John not all Holden diff cases were the same But you would know that as you know all.
Cheers PJ

I have no idea either way, but it must be a common swap, there was a wild violet v6 sold out of Lismore NSW a while black and it had a genuine Torana XU1 diff in it and had done so for years.

Hi so if it is a Torana diff then which model of Torana did it come from. I thought maybe LX or sunbird. And is it strong. Keith

My one is a LJ / LC six cylinder unit. Running in the car for over 30 years. Length of housing is 13 mm longer than standard unit from memory. Back in the day centres were easy to locate in a variety of ratios and virtually bullet proof.
