I remember when I was much younger (lol) ,where I worked at a Ford dealer and their smash repair division. When the RS2000 Escorts were "new", new spare parts were hard to come by for any Brenda model because Ford would not release them off the production line at Homebush. We (I) got a new standard guard and cut short the nose and fitted the front inner frame from the original.
That is still possible today if you have the old guards and its inner front frame.
You just need a panelbeater with patience.
