not sure on what the current deal is but there are a couple of large(ish) boat builders here, Incat being one, but oe minute they seemto be employing people then they are layingthem off!

if you have all your welding tickets, i know of a few companies that require labor for shut down work etc ,not in tasmania, but victoria, you won't be working everyday, but when you do, it is terrific pay, i usually take home between 600-$1000 a day. and depending how often i work, upwards of $70000. i know a few small work shops that would probably need a cnc operator, but once again in victoria
