Im from Tassie, there are alot of Escorts hiding away in garages around the place. Usually see them out on hot days as well as they are getting thin on the ground now and most of the good ones only go out on special occasions. We have a Ford club here in Tassie which has regular meetings if your interested. We always welcome new escort lovers here. Where abouts are you going to live? I'm from Hobart and know most of the guys down here that have Escorts.

P.S. Maxrs, we have the second lowest rain fall in the country only behind Adelaide.[:x)] So the weather here is great, just a little colder during the winter than the mainland, which makes the air thicker , which makes our cars go faster.[:x)]

With the difficulties Australia has been facing over the past 20 years, and will face for the next several generations, there is absolutely no way I would be relocating my family to Australia.

I understand Ireland is not doing so well at the moment so maybe a case of "greener pastures"?

If in doubt check out the true economic data provided by true independent analysts (with the exclusion of the Australian government), the true economic forcasts that are currently being made available.

Don't rely on fictitious data (spin) purposely generated by the Australian government propaganda machines.

If you do chose to live here be prepared to be forced to pay taxes on taxes on taxes, ....and then more. If you have a family, home mortgage, a motor car etc be prepared to pay realistically approximately 95% of your gross income in tax to local, state and federal governments.

Just my two cents (plus GST) worth.

Wow....harsh. I think Australia is a great place to live. I've lived in the UK, US and Philippines and this is by far the best place to live.
And nikmag2, i drink at T42 often and Moonah is a great place, a big automotive area Moonah is. The guy at the Caltex service station in the centre of Moonah has a yellow RS2000 sitting out the front regularly if your interested.

I agree, Australia is a great place to live. Great weather, lot's to see and do, and great people.

But most people will agree we are over taxed and over regulated by crappy laws. (Don't forget the law that if you own a dog you must have a log book and coninually log minimum times, dates etc for walking the dog.)

Over the last two days the latest new tax is the increase of 0.5% to the Medicare tax to rebuild after the recent floods. This will cost the average PAYE worker approximately $250 to $400 per year from your wages. I am still trying to understand why this tax has been applied to the Medicare tax, when it has absolutely nothing to do with Medicare, hospitals, medicine etc.
