Hi All,
I am de cluttering (purging). I was intending to keep the running gear (engine at least) because I still have the car and its the matching numbers engine. But if I can help someone out and make some more room then so be it.
The only substantial things I have removed from the engine are the alternator and fan.
I am not sure whether the engine was ever removed from the car. It is pretty greasy so I'm thinking not, but at 50 years?????
It ran well and had some poke and diff was quiet.
The diff is the narrow atlas 50", (got to measure it to confirm) and is completely assembled with brakes, handbrake etc as removed.
Tail shaft is there as well, and headers
I would say suitable for a clean up and use as is, or the rebuild path.
Has been sitting around for 3 years since being removed at commencement of project.
I also have a manual box with 2 shift arms and clutch fork that I have no idea of history.
Few pics attached. I am located in postcode 2540.
I will not put a price on it as I resisted the temptation to go ebay etc.

is it a D-port engine or OVAL port do you know ?
 
If unknown, I think engine number may help if you could post it
 
Tailshaft one or 2 piece ?

chasing a D-port in any condition as long as complete and undamaged
in case you ever come across one for sale
Also chasing an Adapter Plate to fit a XF Falcon T5 to the Essex V6 D-Port which I think should be the same for 
Oval port, plus the Tailshaft and other components to suit.

I sourced a Ric Wood conversion bellhousing for the T5 to Essex, dear but perfect and converted to hydraulic clutch.
Mal Woods (Tremec) will do adapter plate for you but he is up near Brisbane.
You'll need a tailshaft fabricated with correct slip yolk etc

the Hydraulic Clutch "does it for me"  .........   bean counters must've been sniffing some "weird stuff" when they convinced their lords (already on the weird stuff), to change to cable clutch action to save the extra dollar per car to stay with hydraulic.
Lucky that didn't get repeated with brakes !
