I have had this Project for a while now(nearly 3 years), and have been working full-time and studying part time so I haven't been able to put in time, well as much time as I would like for this car.  All the parts were given in boxes and i had to pick up the doors and panels at a work shop in town where I live in Cairns, a mate with a ute helped me with the engine and gearbox.


 
I bought it of someone who had sold it to my old boss as my last job. The car was as a rolling shell with surface primer, no doors on it or other panels. I keep the primer on as it had been sitting there for the last 2 years and had got rock hard and was a mission to sand off, I was right and had to just fix the body with the imperfections and slight scratches. I had a mate that was going to paint it for me but I ended up just doing it myself and bought the compressor and all the spray gear for the job. I bought the paint for around $550 The color code of Ford Blue(Bold) Is the one I choose to paint and it is a 2 pac paint to so easy to spray and no clear coat.
 
 

 
So I painted the car a year ago in January 2018. I wanted to paint it and see if there were any spots that I wasn't happy with so I would have another go to get it as great as I could. I will keep updating the build as I go along now. Any information to help me would be great. The car has a lot of customized parts and is not all ford parts in there either.

The arches look good, do you know anything more about them?
Ive looked for a while to see how 4doors can be done, particularly regarding the rear doors, where the arch flair would typically cover up the door gap.
Any pics would be great, as if I'm game enough, I'd like to do something similar.

The arcs were previously done by the 2nd owner of the car and i'm the fourth. The guards were cut from a Mazda RX3 And where fiberglass and molded to suit. I have more pictures internally now of the rear right arc

someones done a fair bit of work there Nathan to have them fitting so well.
 
Modified RX3 flares ?, should be easier to find than an RS  4 spoke  steering wheel.
 
I look forward to seeing the doors fitted.

Just had a bolt removed by a mechanic and I was talking to him about the right type of bolt to use for the engine mounts. Used a 8.8 steel bolt(snapped head off when removing, he recommended using a 10.9 or whatever the original type of bolt was.
 
any suggestions?
