I am looking for a type 9 or Toyota box to fit a Pinto in a Mk2 Escort. At this point I am looking for everything for the upgrade.

I will have a 2.8i version of the Type 9 (stronger) end of next week, you will need your own bellhousing though (all 4 cyl 4 speed ones should fit)

The v6 box has a longer input shaft and will need machining to pinto length . Just letting peoples know....

Ah many thanks, I only really mess with Essex V6 motors.

Advice is the input shaft needs replaced as it is too long, not sure if it can be machined.

I machined one down wit angle grinda back in the 90s for a mates rally car... Seemed ok at the time.... Not recommended tho !

Are you still looking for a T9 box?
