Putting a pair of RS guards on this one - so they cover the 13x7 rebels
This engine's already telling me it's going to be a challenge when it comes to cooling.

I'll put on an apron out of an air conditioned US del capri while I'm at it

The guards are from ex-pressed so should fit nice

Removed the old apron - I was surprised to see the rust in the front sub frame. Lucky I had another one lying around waiting to be given a good home.

Probably front valance seams are worse? Still it’s a near on 50yr old car.

The old one did have a bit of bog but no real rust. The car hoist makes it so much easier to work on

How did you find the Ex-pressed front guard section?  I saw them in the flesh in the UK and they looked excellent, I was wondering if they fit up OK.  Could this be the answer to a lot of our lack of guards problem??

They fit spot on but I don't think they sell them as part panels like these any more
