Got the distributor back - all nicely machined, manifold now has all the sensors plumbed in and a nice linkage set up!

No cleverness involved just a true believer spending a lot of money!
I won't polish it - it'll never be a show car (I have fitted a chrome sump etc to it but only because they were in the pile)

The missus is heading overseas soon for a while so I'll go crazy on it then 😎
