Have you got a proper list of stuff that was stolen?  The small ford community is pretty small and some of those things, especially the cossie, is going to stand out. Post some pics and up, or list engine numbers? You're best bet is chucking it up on a few of the escort specific Facebook sites. Sounds very suss and a targeted theft???

So sourced another YB .
Pains me what I have had to pay for this one .
Pretty stock standard with box ,
Now just to drive 1500kms to collect. 
Sometimes wish i had been a soccer man .... surely must be cheaper 

So a bit of an update : 
Engine bay is now painted . 
Boot floor is also finished and painted .
Cabin is about finished just needs a couple of coats of clear tommorow then ill start on the roll cage .
Exterior is about ready for paint so ill tackle that next weekend hopefully then i can start the build .

So it may not seem like i have done much but i have probably spent another 100 hours on this body .
I keep getting it to where i think its right then find another spot im not happy with. 
A curve thats not 100% or a seam that doesnt feel right. 
Its funny doing bodywork , you can go 2 ways in my eyes .
OCD or She will be right and thatll do . 
Either way not sure which one I am but im happy and its ready for paint.

If the paint job on the  exterior comes up as well as the interior that will be one sweet looking body.

Been a test to decide to let someone paint the outside or do it myself but in light of not finding anyone that wants to take it on ive decided to do it myself. 
Will give the primer a week or two to harden then block it again then fingers crossed. 
I hate bodywork .....

So I have finished the engine this weekend and its now ready to fit once the new crossmember turns up. 
Engine has been refreshed and dynamically balanced . 
Rods are new RS500 units and new forged pistons , new high output oil pump and head was decked .
New bearings throughout. 
This block is pretty amazing for a 1986 engine .
Cylinder diameter is 100% stock original . 
Now waiting on parts ... for a change

Guys ,
Dont know if anyone is looking for one but this car will be for sale when its finished .
I still have a good 3 months work to finish it so plenty of time to save up and you could put your own touch to the finished car within reason. 
My next project has just arrived .
