Spent a fair age sorting the floor of late .
It was OK to start but far from perfect.
Its not far away now so threw a coat of paint on it to see what it would look like today .
Pretty tidy for nearly 50 years old .

Nice when some pain goes on.
what color are you likely to go for Bruse?
Classic White and Blue stripes and silver minilights?
(I know I'm boring, but it's like the Matchbox car you grew up with)

Not sure yet Deano .
I was thinking RS orange with either a white stripe or black .
Do love the white and blue also but ive done one before that colour .
Often thought about doing a white one with a green stripe like the mk1 lotus cortina .
A lot of guys in the UK are doing them modern colors ,metallics and such or that horrible green thats from the focus rs but im not into all that.

Another eventful day , started on the bubble arches and thought i better do the sills at the same time .
Getting to the end of having to chop rot out of this car which is a bonus .
Engine turned up last weekend so I threw a battery onto the starter to grab some compression figures .
145 - 150 - 145 - 40
This did not fill me with joy ---- bloody ebay .
Havent time to rebuild it myself so dropped it to a friend who is going to rebuild , sadly a cost i had not budgeted for .
Was in 2 minds at one stage to bin the engine and buy another but looking for 15 year old turbo engines is a chance game and i may just buy another crapper so ill persist with this one .
Bored of typing now here is some pics

That compression isn't terrible for an SR20, in excellent condition you will see around no more than 160psi. Also you tested the engine cold.

yeah but is there a spare 100 missing of the end or a typo?

Neat work Bruce, it will be a shame to put paint on.
Maybe just a polish and wax over the top?

I thought typo? If it's only 40psi I would be sending it back to where it was bought from and buying a later black top or even later and better S14 or S15 SR20.

No typo im afraid .
Turns out head gasket was knackered .
While he has it in bits were going to do shells ,rings and anything else he finds.
Got the old girl in primer one one side today then depressed myself as the other side i havent even started yet.
Theres another 2 weekends spoken for.
