Hi Guys,

So I'm now gona build my all time favourite Escort.

I've wanted one of these since i was 16 so as i've just turned 40 the time is now.

I've started off with a complete mk2 2door and she's all but stripped now.

The finreglass body kit has been ordered and on its way from the UK from old ford autos.

All work is being done by Sandy Bowman at Bowman Motorsports of Aussie Racer fame inc paint panel and roll cage etc..

I'm super pumped and will update this as the project develops.

Few pics of when i grabbed the shell and when it's been pulled apart.

The plan is to use the running gear from my current 4 door in the new car.

The plan is to make a replica of this right down to the same livery and colors.
 
I'm not sure about the rear spoiler whether I want the big monster or just the normal rubber one,

I've looked into BBS replicas from Image wheels 

 
But at $3500AUD delivered I can't justify the cost so will be looking at other options even though I'd love this to look period correct as much as possible.

I've picked up some Brembos to fill out the larger wheels 
 
I'l be going 305mm rotors from a Peugeot so just to malke a bracket and it's all sorted.

Nice stoppers! My vote for wheels is the image wheels look. Im sure there are others which look similar which aren't so expensive??

So how are you going to get the right 8500+rpm sound? F20C+itb's? nudge nudge ;)
